We focus on the biological, medical, and psychological aspects of treatment. While our primary role is psychiatric medication management, we also provide supportive psychotherapy when appropriate and clinically indicated. We believe therapy is an important part of a well-rounded treatment plan, and when a client would benefit from additional or specialized therapy, we are happy to recommend trusted therapists and counseling centers.

When you’re ready, Clear Mind Psychiatry Texas will be here to support you. You can schedule a new patient evaluation or follow-up visit by calling us today.

Initial Evaluation: What to Expect

New patient evaluations typically last 45–60 minutes. During this visit, we take a comprehensive look at your medical history, family history, lifestyle, work or school factors, and how these impact your thoughts, emotions, and daily functioning. Our goal is to understand your full story — not just your symptoms — so we can create a plan that fits your life.

We approach treatment as a collaboration. You’ll be presented with options based on your needs and preferences, and together we’ll decide on the best path forward. No single treatment is dictated; your concerns and goals guide our plan.

If you’re unsure about psychiatric treatment, that’s completely okay. A psychiatric evaluation is not a commitment to start treatment — it’s a chance to be heard, clarify what’s going on, and explore safe, evidence-based options. The decision to begin treatment is always yours.

Follow-Up Visits

Follow-up visits typically last 15–20 minutes and are an opportunity to review your progress, discuss how your treatment plan is working, and address any concerns. We focus on listening to your feedback, evaluating your symptoms, and making updates to your care plan as needed.

If you are experiencing side effects, feel your medication dose is too high or too low, or want to adjust your treatment approach, follow-up visits are the time to explore options and make safe, collaborative decisions.

When starting a new medication or implementing a new treatment strategy, follow-up is usually recommended within 1–2 weeks. As your symptoms stabilize and your plan is optimized, follow-up visits may be extended to every month or longer, with a minimum of every 3 months in line with practice guidelines. The exact schedule is tailored to your needs, the complexity of your condition, and your progress, ensuring you receive the care and attention necessary for lasting improvement.

After Hours

Clear Mind Psychiatry Texas does not have an after-hours clinician on call. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 911 immediately or go to your nearest emergency department.

For medication refills or other non-urgent concerns, please contact us during normal business hours. Messages left after hours will be addressed as soon as possible the next business day.

We prioritize urgent matters first, and non-emergent requests will be handled promptly during regular hours.
